The Farm
Our 250 acre family farm is home to around 120 head of cattle, 20 chooks, Peach and Mairi the donkeys, our house bunnies Juno and Zelda, Paddy the Kelpie, an orchard, a market garden and a wonderful ever-changing community of family, friends and volunteers. Weβre slowly regenerating land unsuitable for grazing by planting native species to encourage biodiversity, as well as prevent landslips. Our logo takes inspiration from the native lemon myrtle trees that line the driveway into the farm.
Weβre currently developing a farm gate experience for the public, and hoping to make garden tours available to guests later in 2024.
The Nimbin Rocks
The Cathedral, Needle and Thimble (Mirrangen, Janagan and Mabaing) are striking relics of 20 million year old volcanic activity. They're a sacred ritual site for the Bundjalung Nation, who believe the NmbngeeβClever Menβreside there. They signify a connection to the divine, and their magnetic presence can be felt wherever you go on the farm. Itβs an immense privilege to have such tangible connection to Indigenous culture on our doorstep.
Nimbin
A dairy village transformed after hosting the Aquarius Festival in 1973, Nimbin is definitely not short of character. It's a unique community with a creative spirit and flair for the subversive. Our village is proud to have been at the forefront of the alternative and sustainable living movement for the past 50 years, to international acclaim. We highly recommend taking some time to explore the main street cafΓ©s, shops and galleries, and in the cabin youβll find a list of our favourite spots.
